The Show Me Shorts Film Festival in New Zealand screens 7 short films by Iranian women.

Seven short films made by Iranian female directors have been screened as part of a Short Film Night event organized by the Show Me Shorts Film Festival in New Zealand.

The “Short Films by Iranian Women” event was held online earlier this month and screened ‘The Derive’ by Tanin Torabi, ‘Hanged’ made by Roqayyeh Tavakkoli and Samaneh Shojaee’s ‘Ascribed Achievements’.

The lineup also included ‘Red Dress, No Straps’ directed by Maryam Mohajer, ‘Limbo’ by Qasideh Golmakani, Leila Khalilzadeh’s ‘The Fried Fish’ and ‘Lady with Flower Head’ by Sara Tabibzadeh.

The Show Me Shorts is New Zealand’s leading international short film festival.
